
Roberto Cavalli is known for his vibrantly colored prints, and animal prints have been a signature look since his first slow in the early 70's. Cavalli's artistic pursuits came about at the age of 17 when he enrolled at the Institute of Art of Florence. It was there where he first began to experiment with use of paint on textile fabrics. His vibrant floral motifs caught attention of several influential Italian textile companies. Hermès "An Indian Winter" shot a very interesting photo advertising campaign through the French Alps which must have been very cold for the models. Hermès hired National Geographic photographer Eric Valli to shoot a theme that was to evoke an escape through the snowy mountains, featuring model Mariacarla Boscono. Hermès brings attention to their classic Hermès silk scarves with Asian-inspired prints, wool coats, accessories such as embroidered suede riding boots, the Hermès Jypsiere and the Taurillon Clemence bags.
